Advertisments on ICQ 2003B

Is there anyway to get rid of the advertisements on ICQ 2003B?
Also there use to be a function that let people know when they had not
logged on to ICQ in 30 days, It would send them a letter, what happen to
this?

As for the functionality you mentioned, I assume that was dropped around
ICQ2000.
